1. Product features

Pipe chain conveyor is a continuous conveying equipment for conveying bulk materials such as powder, small granular and small blocks. It can be transported horizontally, inclined and vertically in combination. In a closed pipeline, the chain is used as the transmission component to drive the material to move along the direction of the pipeline. When conveying horizontally, the material particles are pushed by the movement direction of the chain piece.

When the internal friction between the material layers is greater than the external friction between the material and the pipe wall, the material will move forward with the chain piece, forming a stable material flow; when conveyed vertically When the material particles in the tube are pushed upward by the chain plate, because the lower feeding material prevents the upper material from sliding down, a lateral pressure is generated, which enhances the internal friction of the material. When the internal friction between the materials is greater than the external friction between the material and the inner wall of the tube and When the material weighs itself, the material will be transported upward with the chain piece to form a continuous material flow.

2. Installation and debugging

2.1 General instructions

(1)Before installing the equipment, the equipment should be connected to the foundation first. Then install the unloading transport chute under the equipment foundation.

(2)If it is a concrete foundation, it is required to check the depth of the foundation holes, remove debris in the holes, place anchor bolts according to their positions, and place two pairs of wedge-shaped horns next to each foundation hole. If the wedge-shaped horn is not high enough, a flat horn can be added under the wedge-shaped horn.

(3)Pay attention to the manufacturer’s assembly marks when installing.

(4)During installation, the dust and protective coating on the mating or joint surfaces of all parts should be removed, and defects during transportation should be eliminated.

(5)During installation, all mating surfaces of the parts must be coated with lubricating oil, with dry oil on the fixed surface and thin oil on the movable surface.

(6)If the machine has been left for a long time after arriving at the factory, clean the bearings with clean cleaning oil and refill the grease according to the instructions.

(7)Pay attention to protecting the friction surface during installation. Do not use unclean oil and cotton yarn to scrub the surface. Cover areas that are easily stained and scratched with protective plates or clean canvas.

(8)During installation, assembly should be carried out in strict accordance with the technical requirements on the assembly drawing.

(9)In order to prevent dust, the shell joint surface is allowed to be padded with a layer of rubber asbestos cardboard with a thickness of 0.5-1.0mm.

2.2 Equipment installation

(1)Footing board installation (when needed)

Insert the anchor bolts into the foundation holes;

Place wedge-shaped pads on each small pier;

Spot weld each set of wedge-shaped pad irons to prevent loosening;

After straightening the anchor bolts, pour cement mortar into the anchor holes;

After the initial setting, screw on the nut and check the level of the shell again. Only after confirming that it is correct can the second filling work under the base be carried out;

Before pouring, the dust on the foundation surface should be blown away with compressed air, the surface should be soaked with water and the surface water should be dried with fabric;

Pour mortar (cement:sand:gravel is 1:1:1.5), fill it tightly and then maintain it (4-7 days, depending on the temperature);

Tighten the anchor bolts.

2.3 Installation of pipe chain conveying equipment

(1)Pipe chain conveying equipment should be installed on a fixed structure.Proceed as follows:

Before tightening the bolts, arrange the pipes according to the marks on the flanges, and insert gaskets or O-rings (if any) between the flanges. Before tightening the bolts and nuts, use at least two pipes with the same size as the bolt holes. Pin aligns flange.

NOTE: Pins are not included as spare parts for conveyor equipment.

(2) Installation program

① Install the support structure.Before finally welding or connecting the support structure to the ground or existing building, ensure that the equipment is installed in the correct location and that the existing building can withstand the additional load of the equipment.

② Insert the chain. Place 4 mm wire into the delivery and return tubes. Use a metal wire to pull out the steel cable of the crank or crane, connect the chain to the metal wire, and then insert the chain according to the drawing requirements. Make sure that during the operation of the conveyor, the transmission disc surface faces the direction of the chain drive. The chain is divided into two sections, which are connected together through connecting ports at both ends of the conveyor.

Avoid chain twisting, which can easily cause excessive wear and roll out of the chain teeth, causing the conveyor to malfunction or even cause more serious damage.

Suggested method: Place the chain around the driving wheel so that the chain is placed in the pipe one by one in an orderly manner, thereby ensuring the synchronous movement of the sprocket and the chain at equal pitches and eliminating the risk of running out of the chain.

Tension the chain and wrap the end of the chain around the sprocket teeth, remove excess chain joints, and make sure the disc spacing is correct when the joints are installed. Finally connect the chain using the provided mounting knuckles.

③ Tightening debugging and use

Open the inspection port on the upper part of the drive box and observe that after the chain leaves the sprocket teeth, the minimum distance between the lower edge of the disc and the support plate inside the drive box is adjusted to 20-30 mm, indicating that the tension is within the appropriate working range; if the chain enters the return pipe Collision between the disc and the plate indicates that the tightness is too low and the tightening screw needs to be readjusted.

Note: If the tension of the pipe chain is too tight, it will cause excessive wear of the chain, sprocket teeth, bearings, etc. Any change in the temperature or composition of the transported product will lead to different conditions. The tension of the pipe chain needs to be adjusted. Adjust to the appropriate working range.

The above adjustments can only be made by the trained personnel of our installation engineer according to the training content.

Since the chain tension is affected by gravity, it is usually stable once properly set. To ensure the safe operation of the equipment, it is recommended to check the chain tension once per shift. The chain needs to be shortened during operation because the chain will become loose due to wear and tear caused by long-term use, and the elongated chain will be redundant at the bottom of the conveyor. If the chain is still not within the appropriate working range after the tensioning joint reaches the adjustment limit, the pipe chain needs to be shortened by 2 or 4 links.

(3) Testing

After the equipment is installed in place, the installation test phase will be carried out. Before starting the conveyor for the first time, it must be comprehensively tested in sequence:

Make sure that each reducer, bearing and other parts that need lubrication are filled with lubricating oil, agent, etc.

Make sure all end caps and protective covers are installed correctly and operating normally.

Check if all tools have been removed from the conveyor.

Before running the conveyor, you must check whether its running direction is normal.

The specific steps are as follows:

① Manually rotate the motor fan to make the conveyor chain move in the running direction. The chain as a whole needs to run for 2 turns; during operation, check whether the chain is twisted from the inspection port or the inspection cover, and whether the disc is hard damaged. If there is no problem, You can proceed to the next step.

② After the motor is powered on, press the operating button to make the conveyor chain move intermittently. The chain as a whole needs to run for 3 turns; during operation, check whether the chain is twisted or detached from the inspection port or the inspection cover, and whether the disc is rigid. Damage, if there is no problem, proceed to the next step.

③ Now it is necessary to carry out feeding and debugging. It is necessary to ensure that the material is added to the pipe chain at a constant speed. After debugging and running for 1 hour, turn off the conveyor, check the chain joints, the chain tension, whether there is abnormal wear on the disc, etc., if there are no abnormal problems. , you can proceed to the next step.

④ Now you can use this conveyor to transport materials for a day. After the test is completed, if there are no problems, the conveyor can be used safely and securely.

3. Use and operation

3.1 Commissioning and operation

Before the equipment is put into trial operation for the first time, it must be strictly checked according to the following points:

A:Injection of grease into the main shaft bearing and drive part bearing;

B:Whether there are foreign objects in the cavity;

C:Check the equipment and eliminate all unnecessary metal collision sounds;

D:Whether the bolts of each component and anchor bolts are tightened;

E:Whether the motor rotation direction is correct;

F:Whether all doors on the machine body are securely closed.

3.2 Debugging

(1) Labor protection equipment must be worn correctly and carefully during inspections.

(2) A comprehensive inspection of the equipment must be carried out before starting the machine. No one is allowed to stand on the pipe chain conveyor, and materials and other debris are not allowed inside the pipe chain conveyor.

(3) Before starting up, the central control unit must notify the post personnel to confirm that the site is allowed to start up before starting up.

(4) Post personnel should always check the lubrication points and the temperature and operating sound of the motor and reducer.

(5) When feeding the conveyor, the amount of material must not exceed the conveying capacity specified in the technical specifications, otherwise the chain, chain teeth, and all transmission parts will be damaged; when shutting down, be sure to stop the superior feeding equipment first and wait for the pipe chain to The conveyor will stop after all the materials inside the conveyor are conveyed cleanly.

(6) The tension and length of the chain need to be checked from time to time (see warranty list). If the motor fuse cuts off the machine, the equipment can only be restarted after the cause of the abnormal operation of the equipment has been detected and the problem has been completely resolved.

(7) When the pipe chain conveyor fails or stops due to overload, the post must notify the central control before handling it, go to the electrical maintenance personnel to go through the power outage procedures, hang up the sign, and then turn the switch to the non-central control position and clear it. materials and maintenance equipment.

(8) After handling the equipment, you must carefully inspect the site to avoid dropping tools into the equipment, then seal the upper cover of the pipe chain conveyor and install the screws. Conveyors should only be operated by authorized personnel who are familiar with the contents of the manual, understand the specific features of the machine, and comply with specific factory rules and regulations.

(9) The emergency switch can only be used when there is a safety problem, so do not use it during daily operation. After using the emergency switch, find out the problem and solve it, and then re-operate the equipment. If the conveyor is to be fully loaded , the conveyor must be cleaned manually.

Important: When starting to operate the equipment, make sure that the power supply to the equipment is cut off to prevent it from being inadvertently activated.

The motor current should always be kept within the rated current. If it is frequently overloaded, the feeding amount should be reduced. The operator of the control system should be able to intuitively see the current changes of the main motor in order to adjust the feeding amount of the feeder in time to avoid unexpected accidents!

3.3 Parking

Turn off the plate feeder that feeds the equipment in sequence from far to near, and then turn off the equipment after the plate feeder stops.

Driving without safety measures may lead to accidents! Only drive if all safety measures are in place!
